I agree with Mr. Krieger. I have seen studies showing that over 80% of CTE students go on to some level of higher education or training. I also agree with Mr. Krieger regarding the need to develop a CTE curricula. In fact, I have introduced Senate Bill 1934 which allows for the creation of CTE curriculum frameworks.
I believe that once such frameworks are in place, more CTE courses will meet the A-G requirements. Consequently, career and technical education will be better seen as equally viable a choice for career preparation as the traditional college preparatory courses.
