The idea of an "A Team" is not meant to be a quick fix, but as
as support mechanism that taps the expertise of
experienced professionals. This sends a message that
working with the lowest students is actually a career ladder
move "up" and may help turn the tide on teachers fleeing to
more affluent schools. Students would not feel betrayed if
the A Team teachers worked closely with them and their
regular teachers in cohorts. Thus the A Team will
"graduate" along with the students. It's just an idea to get us
to think "out of the box."
