RE: Welcome from Moderators

The discussion regarding how to keep the best of our 
teachers in the classroom is an important one.  However, 
we must all recognize that many will also want other 
opportunites, particularly in administrative leadership.  It will 
be important for the future for the State to develop 
"pathways" for teachers (and others) to get the academic 
preparation and professional development for these new 
roles in timely and effective ways.  Finding ways to 
streamline these pathways will be essential.
