- Topic: Emerging Modes
I agree that no one mode works for every student. However, it is through cutting-edge thinking that we discover new modes. If we wait for 'demonstrated effectiveness' at all turns, we miss providing opportunities for countless learners. The cornerstone of education is effective teachers - effective teahers can make a difference of some degree in most any circumstance. That said, without support for teachers to try new methods and approaches, many teachers are not allowed to reach their potential. I fear having a system that is more tighly controlled than what presently exists. We need more flexibility for thoughful experimentation, not more caution.
