Essentially, my career has been teaching the very bright. I have my career teaching honors chemistry, physics, and AP chemistry. Every year, I question my students about what careers they are planning and why. It has been over 10 years since anyone said they wanted to be a teacher. If the bright high school students have already decided that teaching is a lousy profession, talking to college students is far too late.
