Let's remember what it takes to have a qualified individual in the class. First you must pay them what they are worth. Secondly they should not have to pay thousands of their meager income to get certified. Lastly you need to nurture and support them throughout their careers. I couldn't agree more that accountability starts with qualified teachers in each class, but this state has never funded education at levels to provide for this. What do we do now? We are so far from that goal! What can we do to start changing the paradigm for teachers in the class?
