BOB KAWKA - I AGREE WITH YOUR 'We need to review the research and
then plan our education programs based (on) real information and
needs at each of the child's development levels.'
TO DO THIS, WE ARE GOING TO NEED EDUCATORS WHO ARE THEMSELVES
AWARE OF THEIR OWN INNATE CAPACITIES AS LEARNERS, + WHO ARE
PREPARED TO RECOGNIZE, APPRECIATE AND ENGAGE DIVERSITY - IN ALL
ITS FORMS PRESENTED TO US IN CALIFORNIA'S MULTICULTURAL PUBLIC
SCHOOLS, AND INCLUDING DANIEL GOLEMAN'S 'EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE'
AND HOWARD GARDNER'S 'MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES' AND INDIVIDUAL
UNIQUE LEARNING STYLES.
ALL IN ALL, WE'VE GOT TO ENGAGE AND INSPIRE EACH STUDENT TO
BECOME A SELF-INITIATING, SELF-SUSTAINING LEARNER FOR LIFE.
