RE: A Different Approach to Social Security


A comment on the use of the word "percentage". Many people are very sloppy about the use of percent increase and percentage decrease and percent of. 100% of something means it is all of it, not 2x it. 200% of something means 2X it. When somebody says an increase of 150% of something, I am often not sure how they mean it; do they mean the original 100% plus 1.5 X the original? Or do they mean 1.5 X the original? I like to see numbers, not percents. Just a personal peave.
