Carolyn Weaver's comments regarding the private ownership (via personal retirement accounts) of retirement funds are right on. I'd like to also add that any plan suggesting that the government retain the money and do the investing be rejected outright in our deliberations. I can see no more dangerous way to politicize the economy than to permit the government to own such a substantial portion of private enterprise.
