  • X-topic: Choice 3

In the postings on Choice 3 thus far, there are some who favor the right of individuals to spend as much money as they want on any candidate of their choice (e.g., "folks ought to have the right to handle their property anyway they choose.")

FOR THOSE WHO SUPPORT THIS CHOICE:
How do you balance the idea that people ought to have freedom to spend their money as they choose with the concern that it would turn campaign financing into a capitalistic venture?

FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CHOICE:
If we could know for certain that eliminating funding limits would result in more candidates, would you be willing to support this choice? Or are there other concerns about this choice?
