If there were only language allowing for a specific standard of measuring the integrity of that which serves the best interest of the public and an impartial body to review the matter in order to determine that, in fact, it does meet those requirements. Such a mechanism could be applied to bills, lobbying, etc.

There will always be money and corruption. Keeping it to a minimum is the challenge. The more public exposure of political mischief and maliciousness is effective only when citizen groups take affirmative action to repel such activities.

For lack of ethical, moral and social standards, we must now legislate our way through life because it has become a way of life. Consider that we all started out with 10 simple commandments!
