I couldn't agree more. The Clairtin example gets even better. The New York Times Magazine recently ran an article that showed that Shering's over-the-counter allergy medication works better than Clairtin. Of course they don't charge as much for the former since it has lost its patent protection.

We need to restore the ceilings imposed on corporations and labor unions that donate money to candidates. Soft money has effectively repealed Teddy Roosevelt's initiative aganist corporations and the Taft- Hartley ban for unions.

Lobbyists even for Schering can play an effective role; their impact would be far less if they had not bought their way into the room.
