Hello.  I join moderator Taylor Willingham and the hosts of this online
National Issues Forum in welcoming you to a deliberation about "Money and
Politics."

As discussion of each "Choice" continues during the forum I will read each
day's postings and create a summary that will appear online the following
morning. The purpose of the summaries is to provide a concise and accurate
account that will "clarify and capture the flow of the deliberation."

The summaries will provide a quick way for forum participants to reflect on
the progress of the previous day's deliberation.  Summaries will also give
forum observers and others who are interested in the topic, or in the
process, an overview of what has been happening.

A great deal will be said about money and politics in the next two weeks;
both in the United States Senate and in this online National Issues Forum.
Much will be said and written, and much will be created that others can
benefit from.  Very best wishes to everyone in this effort.
