I realize the difficulty of limiting personal freedom to contribute any amount of money to politicians or to polical parties. However, if something isn't done, I am afraid we are in danger of eventually becoming a "banana republic" where influence is bought and sold. I wonder if one solution could be putting a cap on donations for either an individual candidate or party?
