Limits on Donations to Campaigns

I believe that limits should be placed on the amount of money able to be donated to a campaign by one group or individual.  The higher the amount of money is that the individual or group donates, the more influence that individual or group has upon the actions that the elected official makes when voting for or against policies and legislation.  When officials feel obligations to a certain strong contributor more than to his or her constituency, the democratic values of our country are hindered.  Everyone should have an equal voice in the government, not just the individuals or groups with enormous amounts of money to give to political campaigns.
