I'm genuinely puzzled by a significant number of folks belief that freedom speech either doesn't or shouldn't apply concerning campaign donations.

The same justification concerning the lack of equality of voice could be used also for abrogating freedom of the press during political campaigns!

That is, I personally, along with the vast majority of other Americans, do not possess the resources necessary to print and sell my own newspaper or to operate my own private radio or TV station. Therefore, should the owners of The New York Times, CNN, et al, be forbidden to editorialize on ANY election candidate or issue? If not, why not?
