  • X-topic: Evaluation

Along with Pat Bonner here at EPA Headquarters, I have been very busy reading all of the postings to this Dialogue and capturing your messages.

However, I am collecting all of those messages that discuss "not-very-good" practices, barriers to public involvement, complaints about specific Superfund or military or other sites, your less than positive experiences with EPA advisory groups or other regulatory processes and other issues that spotlight those things that EPA should do better.

These particular messages now fit into a table that is over 130 pages long! I will break it up into several tables focusing on specific topics and plan to post them onto this Dialogue web site. We also plan to share all of these tables with others at EPA and use them in creating our plan to implement our Public Involvement Policy across the agency. Of course, they will also be available on this web site for at least a year, so others will be able to learn from your experiences.

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your experiences, your recommendations and your insights. It has been very eye-opening for me and will prove to be valuable to the agency as well.

Even after this Dialogue ends, please feel free to discuss any issues related to public involvement or this dialogue with myself or with Pat.
