I'd like to add a document to your resource list, The Rocky Flats Public Participation Guidance, developed by the Rocky Flats Public Participation Focus Group in August 1995. We used this to restructure our combined approach to getting the public involved appropriately in Rocky Flats issues. One model we selected was the paired triangles (one inverted)representing big picture issues of interest to the broad public versus the small number of people interested in details. Usually, the public opportunities for input were on the details, which most didn't care about.
