Washington, July 16 -- The Environmental Protection Agency said today that it intended to wait until at least 2003 before requiring states to adopt strict new water-pollution guidelines that were to have taken effect last year.
Citing "considerable uncertainty" was the major reason given.
Was there any public involvement in this EPA Decision?
The EPA is run by politicians. Politician A doesn't like what Politician B did before A came on the scene. So what happens? Scrap every thing Politician B proposed, scrap the science, scrap the original public input and comments, scrap everything and hid behind the excuse of "considerable uncertainty." I think the tobacco industry was saying that up until a few years ago...
