I appreciate the response from Mr. Charles Franklin. I am worried, however, that the creation of an expanded and updated website is likely not to be sufficient to get the information out to the users of CCA treated wood. If you were to survey the general population, how many people would have any idea what CCA treated wood is ? Can we expect the carpenter who is about to build a deck or the dad who wants to build a sandbox for his children to check the EPA website on CCA treated wood first? It is not likely to happen. My suggestion is that you discuss the issue with Home Depot which prides itself in being customer oriented and environmentally friendly. An information sheet for CCA treated wood should be handed out at the point of purchase or be in plain view where the merchandise is displayed.
