Your story sounds like the one we have experienced at ACES in Acton, MA for the last two decades. You might consider getting added recruits from the Senior community; many have retired on the Cape. An add in a local paper, or letter to the editor may help you find them.

One other resource might be the organization located at http://www.p2.org; the p2 stands for pollution prevention. They have a list of pollution prevention experts from around the country.
