  • X-topic: Information

On the 12th Ellen suggested that: "local community leaders would best know where to place an information depository. In some situations, it may be a library, college/community college, or even the chamber of commerce. However, not all communities have such services and the only local gathering spot might be a store or post office."

I've had the problem in rural communities that there was no library, etc. and so we did use an alternative-type location. Once it was the local "general" store and it worked wonderfully because it was a place that people went to frequently and they were used to talking with one another while they were there. There is a lot to be said for having the repository at the "social spot" in town.
