Since EPA involvement in the Westinghouse/Bloomington,Indiana PCB contamination sites beginning around 1975, citizens are still waiting for critical information on what became superfund sites.

In particular, we never got a ROD or RI/FS. We got a federal consent decree calling for an experimental technology which taxpayors were expected to pay tipping fees to Westinghouse to burn our garbage with the PCB landfill sites. Our group, PATI, was denied a TAG grant because we could not include the ROD or RI/FS with our documents.. Yet, another group was given this grant later. We have been told equivalent documents existed, yet once Reg. V's "officials" called me and asked me to mail them a copy of these documents!!! We RARELY get any info we ask for, probably because we not only use it against EPA decisions, we share it with people all over... When I want info, I get it from people like Greenpeace or Lois Gibbs.... and other hard working citizens who should be paid our tax dollars instead of government. I have no confidence whatsoever EPA will change their secrecy, especially under Bush. I expect people and rattlesnakes to be exactly who they are and to act accordingly... i.e. I never expect EPA to share info or to clean up sites properly... and how they gonna dig up and treat the whole earth and the atmosphere anyway? EPA's been laying down on the job with business, instead of ensuring a future for the erath. I truly want my money back to give it to peole who will really do the work, peole whom I truct and respect.. Oh- EPA has been super disrespectful during this entire process..
