Hi my name is Susan Sinclair and I am a concerned citizen who became involved with the EPA and DEP due to a toxic waste site at the end of my road in 1999 which I currently have a PIP with DEP in place. I am also involved with a Superfund site in the next town over which we recently were awarded a $50k EPA tag grant for at Sutton Brook Disposal Area in Tewksbury MA. I am CEO of our local group TOXIC and Vice President of another local group called Concerned Citizens Network. I am proud to be a part of this dialouge.

On getting information out to the public, I feel very strongly that more effort is needed in getting the local government involved and more wide spread advertising in local papers and local cable access channels of informational meeting and the like that the EPA plans to hold. We recently had two very important meetings in our towns and the turn out of local residents was very poor because nothing made the papers in time and the mailing that was suppose to go out did not reach everyone for some reason.

I agree that the public needs to be involved early on in the process. We fortunetly have been involoved with EPA from the start and have an excellent working relationship with them.
