Thanks for your recommendations -- regional newsletters adn outreach vary from region-to-region. Region 6 (SW) and Region 4 (SE) used to prepare and mail out state newsletters on Superfund sites but these are not being done in Region 4 anymore (not sure about Region 6). Each EPA Region has prepared an annual report on the environment in its region and sent them to interested groups, continue to provide them upon request, and put them on their Internet sites. EPA HQ and regions do send out copies of press releases (and put them on the web site) highlight current important environmental issues on a weekly basis. Contacting the press office in the regional office will get people on the mailing or notification lists for this information.
