  • X-topic: Introductions/Goals

Greetings. I'm Bob Colman, a community psychologist, recently retired from Penn State at Harrisburg after having taught for a long time in the program there in Community Psychology and Social Change. I'm particularly interested in working with community groups so that they have not only voice, but impact. Facilitating clear communication is implicit in several of the of the Public Involvement Process (PIP) goals. That is good to see. But communication without impact is empty, and I'll be interested to see how the goals translate into processes that actively empower community people.
