Hello, My name is Dennis Caputo and I am an environmental consultant who also serves as the chairman of the Houston-Galveston Council of Governments Natural Resources Advisory Committee (NRAC). The NRAC is frequently asked to comment on environmental permits and seeks input from the public in forming our comments.
I served on the EPA RCRA Rifle Shot initative in 1995, the Keystone Center Hazardous Waste Facility Siting Panel in 1981 where I was a contributing author to the final report, and lobbied for Texas legislation to allow public input into the site process.
I am interested in opportunities for all stakeholders to meet informally to resolve conflicts that although associated with a permit may not be a permit issue. Such as traffic or community safety considerations.
