  • Topic: Wrap-up

Welcome to today's discussion, in which we will look at the draft Master Plan overall. Dede Alpert, State Senator and Chair of the Joint Committee to Develop a Master Plan for Education, will join us today as a panelist, and panelists from earlier days will be joining in from time to time.

For today's discussion, our format will be more free form than on previous days: we would like to hear from you about what you see as the big issues surrounding the draft Master Plan. We will begin with some broad general questions; as the day goes on, there will be more questions.

Assuming that the Master Plan should cover the state-level activities that are essential to the education system in California:

Question 1a: What areas from the draft Plan would you like to see kept in the final version, and, importantly, what is missing? These might be general areas or specific points.

Question 1b: For the areas you see as essential to have in the Plan, who should be accountable for seeing that they are carried out properly?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Rosemary Gunn
