District Governance

District governors are elected by the voters of their community to provide direction and oversight to their district on behalf of the entire community.. They bring their personal skills and experience to this responsibility as well as their knowledge of the commuity.

Lacking their representative's role as determiners of policy and direction, parents and other members of the community would feel less  obligation to make personal, organizational or business donations, support school bond issues or volunteer their time for reading, tutoring or mentoring. Responsibility and support go together.
