Question 2: Community College Governance
The draft Plan recommends that the Community College Board of Governors should be responsible for overall governance of community colleges, just as the California State University Board of Trustees and the University of California Board of Regents are for their respective systems. This is intended to decrease fragmentation and, among other things including cost efficiencies, to make it easier to transfer between colleges. Question 2: Do you see a need for this change? What are the pros and cons? To see a summary of what's in the draft Plan, go to the reply to this message with the subject "Question 1: CCC Governance-What's in the Plan."
