Just for clarification---when I mentioned testing in an earlier reply to Irene Lipshin, I DID NOT MEAN testing pre-school children. I was alluding to the testing we do in elementary school. In fact, the focus of my answer was intended to be around transtioning children from pre-school into primary school and then I wandered off into assessment because of a specific reference in Irene's original statement.
