In the context of Workforce Prep and Business Linkage your note made me wonder if a General Systems course would ever be considered as a valid substitute or complement to math and science classes?
During a 'community congress' put on by the city of Cupertino several people wanted to see more systemic analysis and problem-solving related to the issues facing the city. Maybe it's a bias due to my background in hardware and software, but I wish I had been able to take a Systems class in high school instead of geometry. :-} And I suspect many employers would appreciate employees who understand basic schematic and flow diagrams.
