Adult Education/CTA believes:
Re: Attachment to Testimony By CTA Representative Sylvia Oshima Relevent Portions of CTA Policies on Adult Eduction and Community Colleges CTA believes: [Bullet 7] Any high school, unified or community college district may assume responsibility of providing adult eduction only by a mutual delineation of functions agreement. If the parties are unable to agree to a mutual delineation of functions agreement, the parties will agree to abide by a final and binding decision that shall be made by a representative of the State Conciliation Services. THE ABOVE IS CONTRARY TO THE CTA BELIEFS. I have been in communications with the CTA State Office and a CTA Board Member and have been assured that the above is not in agreement with what the CTA believes or policies. I have been an full-time K12 adult education teacher for 27 years. I am a member/leader in CTA. I am a NEA delegate for my second year. I am also a member/leader in the California Council for Adult Education. I am politically active in both organizations. |
