Mike, thank you for your eloquent comments. There are several points worth emphasizing in your experience: the quality of the teacher in the classroom, the availability of high-end tools in the classroom (i.e., where the teacher and student are), problem-based curriculum, individualized instruction, outcomes-based assessment, using technology to facilitate learning anytime and anywhere, increasing communication, and breaking down the feeling of isolation in the classroom that many teachers feel.
