RE: Question 3: Certification

I applaud the movement towards performance-based assessment, but who judges the performance?  What if we go beyond the teacher as the gatekeeper and use peer assessment as well as professionals in the field to assess peformance?  

I believe that technology provides an opportunity to bring the "real world" to education in ways that make learning more meaningful to our students.
