This may be true of the schools you work with, but my experience has revealed a different picture - and not just in CA but across the nation.

Although I work primarily with elementary schools, high schools have the same issue with lack of resources including technology - lab equipment, computers, internet connection.

The Bee ran a series on inequities that exist in Sac schools, but this is a national problem. there was a documentary on Ohio schools that underscored the disparity in resources among its schools - one had state of the art science labs while others were lucky to talk about science.
