I am glad to hear it again... I have often used the same words myself when lecturing about politics and economics in my critical thinking classes. Yes, it is worrysome for those of us from the baby boom generation to see what is not happening with our future labor force. I hope, for the "soul" of our society, however, that we do it for more reasons than just our own self-interest. In anycase, the hard facts before us are a very good reason to work for a better educational system.
