I am a person of few words. Here are my answers to the discussion questions: 1) a) Money needed to purchase the necessary infrastructure b) Continual funding to maintain infrastructure and hardware updates c) Training for staff once technology is in place 2) Libraries normally are a source of information. Schools on the other hand present information, stimulate discussion and promote critical thinking skills. Both libraries and schools should allow the easiest and most convenient access to repositories of information. There is no better way than electronically. As usual, money is *the* issue. 3) The most obvious answer to me is that the rural areas lack two items 1) $$$ and 2) the telecommunications medium(a) necessary to offer and sustain such services. R.
