Barry, your comments are well taken. I agree that sometimes the collaboration
itself is the best product of a project.  And this is one of the motivational
successes of grant programs.  In San Francisco Public Library, our collaborations with partners over the years have endured beyond the life of various specific
projects and have created a foundation that enables us to build many new projects and programs and to have the benefit of many other people's creative thinking.
