Larisa asked us to think about ... What are appropriate and practical
measures of both success and problems in technology and education projects?

To me, one important measure of success is what processes are working in
network implementations? Process elements have a lot to do with people and
less to do with technology. Evaluators - where are your evaluation and
assessment efforts focused - on process or product? Are you encouraged to
identify and evaluate the broader elements of successful networking or is
the primary focus on outcomes and product?

A second appropriate and practical measure of success in technology and
education projects is to determine how this new resource is used by the
educators themselves. Is the teacher using the resource to be a better
more effective teacher? By integrating the technology in the curriculum
are the teachers' teaching strategies strengthened? We need to initially
focus on teaching then later we can focus on learning. One follows the other.
