I give Senator Santorum a lot of credit for having courage to bring this issue up during an election year. I am a Democrat from the Pittsburgh area and I KNOW how much the AFL-CIO is coming out against anyone who dares talk about changing Social Security. I'm currently between jobs. In the meantime, how does Senator Santorum's proposal handle the issue of part-time workers, individuals who are laid off, and the unemployed? Finally, isn't Senator Santorum at all nervous that this issue can be used against him in a campaign?
