A National Dialogue convened by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
and hosted by Information Renaissance
with additional support from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation

Jim Marxen

I am Chief of the California Department of Toxic Substances Control's Public Involvement Program, which has 32 specialists in four regional offices throughout the state. Since obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, I have been working in the field of communications, first as a newspaper reporter and city editor for daily newspapers in Los Angeles, then as a PIO, and finally as a community involvement coordinator for state government.
