PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT IN EPA DECISIONS

A National Dialogue convened by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
and hosted by Information Renaissance
with additional support from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation


Hamilton Brown

Hamilton Brown has been the Director of Training and Technical Assistance for the National Center for Small Communities since 1982. He has written numerous guidebooks and conducted training in over 30 states on issues including source water protection, underground storage tanks, the Americans with Disabilities Act and funding strategies for small and rural community infrastructure. He has written and managed major training and technical assistance projects funded by major foundations; the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Brown is currently managing an EPA-funded project to involve small community elected and appointed officials at the pre-rule making stages of the rule making process. Brown received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College, a Masters in Theology from Hartford Seminary and a Masters in Public Administration from the George Washington University.
