PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT
IN EPA DECISIONS
A National
Dialogue convened by the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency and hosted by Information Renaissance
with additional support from The William and
Flora Hewlett Foundation
|
Rules of the Road
For this National Dialogue on Public
Involvement in EPA Decisions, the sponsors and host would like to
encourage certain rules of behavior so that all the participants
will find this a productive experience. We suggest the following
guidelines.
- In your first message you may want to introduce yourself to
the group. This is not a requirement but it helps other participants
know who you are and why you are participating. This introduction
could be as short as a sentence or two.
- Please think of others, and avoid offending their values,
experiences and views when submitting your messages. Civility is
an important value in online discussions.
- Be willing to respond to questions about your positions. If
needed, ask others to clarify their views.
- Please try to adhere to the agenda by not raising topics
prematurely. Please check the agenda to determine when it would be
best to raise a particular topic.
- Please do not use this forum to sell your products and
services.
