Byron,

The different political parties' approach to the subject of Campaign Finance Reform is ALL part of the equation we are to consider. We can't have a healthy dialogue and exchange of ideas if we steer away from any topic, because of one person's discomfort. The only possible solution to the question of effective Campaign Finance Reform will be found somewhere in the middle, between BOTH political parties ideas, incorporating the best and most workable ideas from both sides, and staying away from enacting legislation that will be unfairly punitive to the fundraising efforts of one party, while protecting the fundraising sources of the other. THis bill, like everything else in Washington, needs TRUE bi-partisan input and bi-partisan support, if it is to succeed.
