Adam, I agree with you that lobbyists are important to
legislators because they can "educate" a politician about complex
issues and provide him/her with justification for a vote. This
is democracy in action.
What I have a problem with, however, is when the lobbyist uses
money instead of the merit of the position to influence the
legislator.
