I was talking about money & politics yesterday with someone who thinks things won't change in America until there is campaign finance reform. I served as a forum recorder a few weeks ago on this issue and heard participants say they agreed with the concept of lobbying because it lets them lobby as individuals.
A former state legislator told a group of us having lunch together than good people run for office with good intentions and sometimes end up with their lives almost ruined. I think money plays too big of a part in politics. But it does in personal relationships too doesn't it? Can we ever regulate that?
