Our country seems to be divided into two sects. Those who have money and those who don't and it is those in the former category who run our government. This seperation seems to cause a lot of problems for the everyday joe who isn't privilaged with millions of dollars. It is true that there is allienation and distrust present in their attitudes and that's because too often, they feel that they are not represented and cared about simply based on their financial situation. I can't really share a similar experience because I am still a high schooler who has spent his whole life living a privilaged life spending his father's money. Money issues in politics have not affected me horribly so far, but next year I plan on attending college and I'm sure that it will be a major issue there.
