  • X-topic: Outreach

I'm jumping in the middle here, so forgive me if this topic has been raised before. I am a professor at an HBCU. I have published in the field of public participation. I am also on an advisory board for a peer-reviewed environmental journal. May I make a suggestion? We (those in environmental policy) need a directory of publications regarding public participation, and a source directory of those knowledgeable in the field. A conference on public participation is also warranted. For those interested in my publications, may I suggest the following: Eileen Gay Jones, "Knights at the Roundtable: Public Participation Joins the Battle to Clean-Up Cold War Waste," 8 Fordham Law Journal 277 (1997); "Risky Assessments: Uncertainties in Science and the Human Dimensions of Environmental Decision Making," 22 William and Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review 1 (1997). Anyone interested in my ideas about a bibliography, expert directory, or a conference, or for more sources of public participation articles, please contact me.
