  • X-topic: Outreach

Heard at public meetings by "concerned citizens:"

Acid Rain
"We MUST get the pH of our rain down to zero!"

Superfund site and health
"They [government and industry] are telling us these chemicals are being measured in units of 'parts per billion.' They have to lowered to parts per million immediately."

The public has a pretty strong commitment to the environment and they want to see the quality of the environment improved. By the lack of knowledge on the basics of science behind the issues causes misunderstanding, mistrusts, and is used by the anti-environmentalists to fuel the already raging fires on many environmental issues.

Education is critical.
